Combine two people’s love of good design and all (well, probably most) things old-fashioned and the result is just lovely. Take the home decor pieces created by Vincent and Jessie of Uncommon and Dust Furniture. They’re modern and streamlined, yet still have elements of appealing, classic design. Their clocks available on Etsy caught my eye instantly. . . I really love the natural wood faces paired with the whimsical shapes.  (Thanks to HJ for pointing them in my direction!!)

Based out of Valparaiso, Indiana, Vincent and Jessie are married too, which is not really a surprise given their talented teamwork. Their creative and custom designed line of home accessories and furniture are sold nationwide, but you can check out their very pretty offerings online here AND their extras, prototypes, mistakes and even occasional scratch-n-dent deals here. No, they’re not perfect, and I appreciate when artists not only own up to that, but sell it at a cheaper price too!

red ruby rose

Lead singer of Santa Dog and a fabulous textile designer to boot, Red Ruby Rose’s brainchild Rowena creates clutches I adore. The designs, the colors and the way the clutches just pop, is fantastic. Nothing beats an accessory that was put together with love and über nifty style. As my dear friends in Grimstad would say – SNACKS!

K Studio has a fantastic line of handmade, eco-friendly pillows that will add a kitschy spark to any room. It’s designs like these that feed my obsession for having pillows on every surface of my home. Okay, maybe not every surface, but pretty close though.

envy and fallen hearts

Taking old costume jewelry and making it new again is a favorite around here. Breathing fresh, creative life into a necklace charm or vintage pendant gives each piece a special story and meaning. Buzz Designs has so many re-newed treasures, it’s hard to choose! But today, envy and the fallen heart have caught my eye. Made with vintage brass and vintage enamel metal, they’re petite and charming. Did I mention Buzz offers free shipping? Perfect gifts for sure!

Franklin the chef is top in his field with specialties like toenail stew. Although I’d never try his er, distinct dishes, I think he’s super cute. Handmade by Deidre Wicks Design, Franklin and his friendly, plush buddies are affordable and unique, perfect for kids and big kids alike.

skeleton keys

So in the spirit of Halloween today, I went in search of cute skeleton and monster dolls (I know they’re out there) and came across something pretty fantastic and a tad unrelated. Handmade leather clutches with skeleton keys made by Urban Heirlooms. The vintage keys, soft leather and antique interior fabrics give these designs an old fashioned and beautiful look, timeless accessories that would add to anyone’s style.

Hoolala Jewelry is the definition of enchanting whimsy. Inspired by Victorians, vintage charm bracelets and the story of her grandfather defecting to England from Russia on a rowboat, designer Sam Gannaway-Jones has an imagination and artistic ability one could only dream of.

I’d like one of everything please!!
