Fighting for human rights for over 30 years has made ActionAid a leader in standing up against global struggles. Thanks to their latest effort—The 6 Degrees Project supports women’s rights by forming world-wide connections between women of all creeds, to stop discrimination, violence and poverty. And the idea that we’re all just six degrees apart can really make a difference.

The 6 Degrees Project kicks off with a free download of Chaka Khan’s trademark song “I’m Every Woman” put together by a group of amazing female artists including Róisín Murphy, producer Amanda Ghost, Alessi’s Ark, thecockandbullkid, Micachu, and Sinead O’Connor.

Just click HERE to learn more about the 6 Degrees Project and to download your own free copy of the song. It’s a fantastic reminder that we’re all in this crazy, often turned-upside-down, thing together. . .

West London’s Alessi’s Ark is charming, sweet and imaginative in her sound and lyrics. I love the light, airy feel to her style. Her debut album Notes From The Treehouse is like a soundtrack to a dreamy walk through prairie grass pastures and summer picnics full of sweet cream and strawberries. It’s unbelievable that such soul can come from such a young artist. Look for her debut to drop May 4th, and stay tuned here for free downloads before then!
