Thinking guys also need a little help with what to wear for the holidays, I rummaged through unknown internet territory to see what’s hot and not for men out there. I LOVE this outfit and after my job as a cologne assistant for my friend Elisabeth’s boyfriend’s Christmas present yesterday, may I just suggest a little sprinkle of Chanel Allure for him too? It seems everyone is obsessed with shoulders these days, especially shoulder pads and the different kinds of bling-bling that are used to enhance them. And I love it! Getting closer to my favourite season of the year, I picked out this dress as THE holiday dress. Soon I’ll be driving home to Grimstad for Christmas and I can’t wait. . . feeling like a kid again and really hoping that Santa will get me that awesome necklace from Anthropologie. . . love that too!

Apparently this week is going to dump a lot of snow on the Twin Cities, and I’m not so sure how I feel about that. As much as I’d like to have a little chat with Mother Nature about my schedule and how a load of snow is really going to get in the way, it’s probably not a possibility. So I’ll just take the hint, and let it inspire me to find some lovely gems. . . winter white rings and lovely crystal earrings. Come rain, come shine, come snow.. .

What’s making me tick this week are these awesome rain boots. Perfect for the Copenhagen streets, or any other rainy city this fall and winter for that matter! I actually bought this dress the other day, and now I think I’ve found the perfect things to accessorize it. I also decided that Norwegian traditional Selbu mittens are the accessory of the winter — they help make the best snowballs with style, so watch out!

Pop the champagne, blow up balloons and order cakes for everyone! Drum-roll please. . . last Thursday I became an auntie for the very first time! And of course I’m not at all biased, but I must say it is the world’s cutest little baby-boy. Hoorrrray! Sooooo naturally baby clothes, baby toys and everything else baby is on my mind. I’m such a lucky girl. I’ve got an amazing group of people around here that are creative, stylish, lovely and love to share their awesome finds with me. The latest is this super sweet headphone ring at Oye Modern brought to my attention today. . . thank you Sara!  It’s simple, but still makes a loud enough statement to get people to notice you and your style. This season, big and bold necklaces are definitely a must, and I was lucky enough to find one in Singapore to the huge envy of all my friends. The normal amount of sun-hours in November for Copenhagen is 56.3 hours. Up until today, the sun has shone 6.5 hours. . . and that’s for the whole month! Depressing as that fact is, luckily there are things here in life that can light up the day no matter what the skies are up to.

For whatever reason, the word buttercup is stuck in my mind today. No idea why, and to be honest all I can picture is that buttercup teacup thingy someone eats in the movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. It has been quite the week, so perhaps the buttercup thing is just my brain short circuiting from all the ups and downs. But whatever the case I found myself searching  for buttercups on Etsy, and I’m so happy I did because it brought me to the handmade vintage jewelry of Lazy Giraffe in the UK.

Delicate, vintage, amazing. . . all these words popped into my mind when I saw the beautiful colors and the gorgeous, old-timey pendants and earrings. The oversized fiber beaded necklace handmade by Portugal’s Maria João Ribeiro is 100% wool and 100% beautiful. The weight and texture of the necklace is absolutely gorgeous and I really love the assortment of colors available. . . it’s hefty but still subtle in style and design.  I can see it perfectly accenting a simple little black dress for the holidays, or any day really. It’s like I always say, go big or go home!

Just realized I have a newfound love-relationship with studs and this jacket is just to die for.
