I have no clue what one could put in there, but this dainty drawer ring is super unique and cool. I love the mix of the metal with the itsy-bitsy drawer, it’s a great balance of spicy and sweet, and a great modern take on the classic locket. It’s also a fantastic set-up for a corresponding Valentine message! Clearly not one that goes inside, but you know what I mean. Something along the lines of where to keep a key to someone’s heart, yadda yadda yadda, you get it! So. . . happy Valentine’s Day!

Talk about lovely. The way these vintage letterpress stamps are transformed into simple, beautiful necklace charms is just fantastic. Pick your letter. . . maybe it stands for your name, your doggie, your honey pie or your favorite flavor of pie. Whatever works!
And whatever the case, or whoever the person, it will be an utterly charming charm. My first choice? The letter B all the way!

Okay, listen up all you fashionistas out there. This week is Copenhagen fashion week and I’ve been out to scout some of the hottest new looks for spring, or at least what I want to wear this spring! Stine Goya, Baum und Pferdgarten, and my all time favourite Malene Birger, represent some of the best of the best in Danish design right now. Take a look and hope you enjoy it as much as I do, I’m off for a bit of champagne. . . ta da!

With prices continuing to go up, up, up in this down, down market, you can rest easy to know that hugs are still free. Sigh o’ relief. So when I saw this sweet coin purse advertising one of my favorite things in the world, I couldn’t help but want to buy one. Because what is a sure way to feel better about down down things? You guessed it… giving and receiving a hug! And what’s even better than that? A delightful birdie telling you they’re free!

Yes I admit it, I’m addicted to designer bags. Alexander Wang’s Rocco Mini Duffle is my to-die-for item this month. And realizing that spring is yet to come, I’m going to cuddle up in big cardigans and put on large fuzzy hats. Next week I’m off to London and I promise I’ll come back inspired and hopefully I will have some neat findings to show off. Plan is: drink beer, watch people and shop until I drop, because it’s London January sales!!!! Wish me luck!

Recently it has come to my attention that I’m a little more Irish than I thought. Okay, a lot more Irish than I thought. With a name like O’Shanney only a few branches away from me on the good ‘ole family tree, I was a bit surprised by my sudden ability to actually say, ‘Kiss me I’m Irish!’, and mean it. With that being said, I figured why not use this newfound identity to find something cool and chic (and a tad celtic)?!

Fawns, birdies, bunnies and big, fluffy treetops. . . these are a few of my favorite things. And I must admit I’ve never loved them more than now. Seeing the eco-friendly metal accessory designs by Figs & Ginger rekindled my flame for such sweet forest characters, and the elms and maples they live in and under.
Although I should clarify my love for such things tends to only stretch as far as art, style and design inspired items. . . I love not camping is my motto of course! But I’d be more than happy to wear a fawn in the forest around my neck, or a chubby sparrow on my finger. They’re too cute and too enchanting to pass up! Visit Figs & Ginger’s online store here! The bunnies and birdies are waiting!

That is the word of the week, er last couple weeks I should say. FROSTY. Everything in my world at the moment is iced over, chilled, numb, frigid, frozen and especially frosty. Thank goodness a trip to warmer weather is just over the horizon for moi (sorry to all the rest of you below zero peeps!). So in honor of the bitter cold days here up nort, I’ve decided to make some extra nippy lemonade out of some super arctic lemons, and shed some light on a few fantastic, frosty inspired gems.

Ringing in a new year often means resolutions up the wazoo for many. Perhaps shedding a few pounds with a new gym membership is what you’re after, or saving a few more pennies here and there would be better. Whatever the case may be, stylish savings are always a great resolution. And an easy way to do just that is using what you’ve already got and then adding a new accessory or two to spice things up. Take the innovative and vintage inspired brooches by Two Stitches. . .

The beautiful colors and imaginative combinations of vintage buttons and fabrics are stunning. What a genius way to update your once favorite black dress or your go to vest that needs a little something extra. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say a touch of Two Stitches is like a whole new wardrobe in itself!

During a fabulous weekend in Iowa with friends (yes. . . Iowa can be fun and fab!), I came across an interesting use for tape measures. My dear dad always has one in his pocket, and insists I use the one he gave me before hanging any picture on the wall. Now, I may or may not (usually not!) use it before hanging artwork, but after seeing all the potential in that simple yellow tape I just might need to take it apart and make something way more useful. Like earrings or a necklace or a brooch. . . the possibilities are endless! Just don’t tell my dad. . . eep!

Love Measures Brooch $23

Artful Hardware Pendant $50

Don’t Make a Noise Print $15

Tape Measure Apron $15

Retro Measure Up Ring $39.95

All I want for Christmas is…..a man with nice clothes?
Thinking guys also need a little help with what to wear for the holidays, I rummaged through unknown internet territory to see what’s hot and not for men out there. I LOVE this outfit and after my job as a cologne assistant for my friend Elisabeth’s boyfriend’s Christmas present yesterday, may I just suggest a little sprinkle of Chanel Allure for him too? I’ll guarantee holiday success if you gather up all these elements!

Cardigan: Opening Ceremony
Tuxedo Shirt: Banana Republic
Pants: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Socks: Paul Smith
Tie: Vivienne Westwood
Shoes: Kenneth Cole
Cologne: Chanel, Allure

It seems everyone is obsessed with shoulders these days, especially shoulder pads and the different kinds of bling-bling that are used to enhance them. And I love it! Getting closer to my favourite season of the year, I picked out this dress as THE holiday dress. Soon I’ll be driving home to Grimstad for Christmas and I can’t wait. . . feeling like a kid again and really hoping that Santa will get me that awesome necklace from Anthropologie. . . love that too!
