There’s so much to admire about this captivating silkscreen by Brandi Strickland called “Blue Room Golden Girl“. It may be only three colors, but the whole feeling of this calm place draws the admirer (me!) in. . . and you can’t help but wonder what is she thinking about, standing there with those birds?

Not to mention the colors chosen are a bright, charming blue and an orange that pops right off the canvas. Makes me believe this simple piece could be a super cool muse for some creative writers out there. The title alone screams for some song lyrics, in my opinion. “Oh blue room with the golden girl. . . you’re breaking my heart just standing there. . . la la la,”. See?! Ha ha, perhaps one of you should give it a try, would be a much better ditty I’m sure.
