It’s a pretty well-known fact that Brent loves himself some manufactured electro pop.  I tried keeping it a secret for a while, but I am old enough now to just own up to it. I love it when Kylie does it and I love it when fairly unknown girls sing it too.  One girl is good, but honestly, the more the better.  It’s just more stuff to look at in the videos.

I’ve been holding off covering The Saturdays, who are basically a younger, sexier, and newer version of Girls Aloud.  Their first single “If This Is Love” is really only good because it samples Yazoo’s hit “Situation.”  But, their newest song “Up!” is (sadly) exactly the type of electro pop song I love.  It starts out with a pretty awesome thumping bassline and even has wind effects.  Cause, you know, the girls are going ‘UP, UP, UUUUP!”  Totally freeking brillant.
